Let the Fun begin! Eee PC 1000HD and 904HD

More Eee PC models are announced through U.S. based Asus Eee PC web site. We're now have Eee PC 1000HD and 904HD. We did hear about the 904HD before but 1000HD is something new that perhaps everyone over looked due to wide range of Eee PC models that ASUS provides. If every hardware differences has its own model name, I wonder why there are three Eee PC 900 to choose from (12GB, 20GB and the "new"16GB SDD).

Asus, please keep the fun coming since we can never have enough Eee PC to play with!

I think I break the code... H means hard drive and D means none Atom CPU. So 1000HD and 904HD means hard drive, none atom CPU, and 1000H means hard drive with atom CPU.

I will let you know once I figure out what 901's "1" means and what 904's "4" means...

FYI, Eee PC 900 16GB one is called "Eee PC 900 16G", not just "Eee PC 900".

This is confusing! They should make their model name like "Eee PC 10-inch-wide-screen-with-80GB-HDD-and-Intel-Dothan-353-900MHz-Processor-and-oh-the-wireless-support-802.11n-too!-and-has-bluetooth". Then, people won't be so confused about the differences between Eee PC 1000, Eee PC 1000HD and Eee PC 1000HD.

Haha... all those are good feed backs. It IS confusing, not really easy to learn, easy to use, easy to play anymore. This is why Asus now says Eee PC means

I just wish they can change the Eee PC logo. It is ugly. I like the Asus logo in the older Eee PC much much better.

Tons different models and change a good looking branding logo to a bad looking one, I wonder if this is Asian thingy...
